Week 9: NFL Fantasy Results and Standings

Week 9 provided exciting games and a few surprises. The results are as follows:

On the 1st game, Hoof Hearted got back to its winning ways be easily defeating Ilong_rangers with a 50 point lead. Hoof Hearted's #1 pick, Adrian Peterson, was leading the charge by providing 26.40 points but the surprise highest point provider for Hoof Hearted was its newly acquired defensive team, Green Bay Packers. Green Bay generated 28 fantasy points which is very high for a Defensive team. The rangers had terrific performances from some of its players (Ray Rice, Brett Favre and Ahmad Bradshaw) but all of them were in the Bench.

From cellar to stellar, TeamGalactica outpointed the Ginebra team by 21 points. TeamGalactica had 2 top-5 player performances of the week with Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Hillis. Ginebra's receiving and rushing corps did well with 5 out of 8 players in double digits but TeamGalactica did the same but with much more point production. TeamGalactica had the highest fantasy point (183 including bench) total this week and the team moved up a notch (#5) in the rankings.

The battle of the Titans (or Tatangs) was between #1 A-team and #2 Pang Asar lang. This was the game of the week since the A-team is riding on a 4 game winning streak and it wants to redeem itself after the 3-point loss to Pang Asar in Week 4. But Pang Asar lang had all its aces under its sleeve by defeating the A-team by 22 points. Pang Asar relied on Arian Foster and Hakeem Nicks to keep the A-team at bay. With this win, Pang Asar catapulted itself to the top of the rankings and it has beaten the A-team twice this season. Both teams will meet again on Week 14.

Week 8: NFL Fantasy Results and Standings

Week 8 tipped the balance of power with several big wins. The results of Week 8 are as follows:

Pang Asar lang easily defeated top ranked team Hoof Hearted with a 37 point victory. Most of Pang Asar players were in double digits and even its newly added Kicker, Sebastian Janikowski, provided 15 points. Pang Asar was leading by about 30 points before the Monday Night game and still had 2 players yet to play (Garcon and Foster). Hoof Hearted was relying on its franchise quarterback, Peyton Manning, to sneak a win but with a depleted Colts receiving corps, Hoof had its odds against them. Hoof was able to trim down the lead to about 20 points but Pang Asar relied on the monster performance of Arian Foster with 22 points.

A new sheriff is in town. The A-team defeated TeamGalactica by 64 points and propeling the A-team as the new top ranked team in the league. A-team lead by 50+ points before the Monday night game. TeamGalactica had 2 players on Monday Night but they can only add 12 points. The A-team had the game sealed Sunday Night and garnered the highest total fantasy points (174 - including bench) for 2 weeks in a row.

Ginebra's never say die attitude showed its way against the Ilong_rangers by beating the rangers by 16 points. Ginebra was trailing behind by 12 points before the Sunday Night Game but all of the Rangers players already played. Ginebra was able to grab the lead by the end of the Sunday Night Game and never looked back. Ginebra still had two players for the Monday Night Game but only 1 played. It didn't matter anymore because Ginebra already had the win.

Week 7: NFL Fantasy Results and Standings

This week looked like Week 5 with a couple of upsets. The results of Week 7 are as follows:

The 1st upset of the week was the match-up between Hoof Hearted and Ginebra. Hoof Hearted was the number 1 team based on overall rankings while Ginebra is 5th going into Week 7. Hoof Hearted maintained a 13 point lead at the end of the Sunday Night Game. Looking at Ginebra's remaining players (QB - Eli Manning and WR - Mario Manningham), Hoof Hearted conceded early Monday morning declaring Ginebra the winner of the match. On Monday Night's game, Ginebra was still trailing Hoof Hearted by 8 points after the 1st half even though Eli Manning had 3 TDs. By the 3rd quarter, Manning completed a TD pass to Manningham and this TD closed it out for Ginebra thus preventing Hoof Hearted any chance to snatch the game.

The 2nd upset of the week was between 2nd ranked Pang Asar lang and last placer (6th) TeamGalactica. TeamGalactica led by as much as 63 points after the Sunday Night game but Pang Asar still has 4 players yet to play on Monday Night (Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Brandon Jacobs and Hakeem Nicks). Pang Asar's 4 players contributed a total of 316 yards, 4 TDs and 1 2-point conversion to cut TeamGalactica's lead down to 9. The lead would have been 5 if Witten and Jacobs didn't commit a fumble each. TeamGalactica was able to keep the lead at the end of Monday Night's game due to the 20+ point performance from Aaron Rodgers, Michael Turner and Dwayne Bowe.

The 3rd game between Ilong_rangers and A-team showed a new super-power team on the League. A-team had the highest fantasy points total this week with 225 (including bench points) and beat Ilong_rangers by 23 points. A-team's bench had a total of 98 points which is 100%+ higher than Ilong_rangers bench (45 points). The rangers never had a chance since the A-team had outdone all of Ilong_rangers players on the lineup. At this rate, it looks like the A-team is going all the way to the playoffs.

Week 6: NFL Fantasy Results and Standings

Another exciting week has been completed. The results for Week 6 are as follows:

Hoof Hearted got back to its winning ways by defeating TeamGalactica by 31 points. Hoof Hearted was the unofficial winner on Sunday night with a 21 point lead with 1 player yet to play. All of TeamGalactica players played on Sunday and never had a chance to win it.

The heartbreaker game of the week was between Ginebra and A-team. A-team won by a hair (1.72 points) and each team had players on the Monday Night game. A-team was leading by about 10 points with less than 2 minutes left on the game. The Titans were moving the chains and suddenly Chris Johnson scored for a touchdown with a 35-yard run. Johnson is with the Ginebra team and with the TD, it trimmed down A-team's lead to 0.72 points. Ginebra has a chance to grab the win with a touchdown or a 50+ field goal on the Jaguars next drive since A-team has the Titans for its defensive team. With 1:40 left, the Jaguars started to move the ball but with 51 seconds left, the Titans sacked the Jaguars QB adding a point for the A-team. The Jaguars next 3 plays produced nothing thus preserving A-team's win over Ginebra.

The game between Pang Asar lang and Ilong_rangers was decided on Sunday night. Pang Asar's newly acquired Running Back, Ryan Torain, had a breakout day providing 22 points to seal the win. Ilong_rangers had 2 players (Greg Jennings and Jeremy Maclin) who performed well during the week but both were in the bench. Should either one of them were in the Ilong_rangers active roster, the rangers would have won easily since the Rangers had the week's best 194 fantasy points (including bench). Pang Asar lang won by 9 points.

Week 5: NFL Fantasy Results and Standings

Week 5 was a week of upsets and very surprising results:

A-team defeated Hoof Hearted easily with a stunning 42 point victory. Before the games started on Sunday, Hoof Hearted was the projected landslide winner. On paper, Hoof Hearted has the talent over A-team but A-team showed up with its A-game on Sunday and led by as much as 52 points and never looked back. A-team didn't even use a Defensive team for this week, the 2 DEF team (Patriots and Seahawks) on A-team's roster were on a Bye. Hoof Hearted only got 10 points from its Pro-Bowl Running Back, Adrian Peterson, on Monday Night's Game.

Ilong_rangers garnered the most fantasy points this week and was able to upset Team Galactica by 38 points. Team Galactica led by as much as 50 points after all the Sunday afternoon games but Ilong_rangers was able to trim the lead down to about 20 points after the Sunday Night game. Both teams were waiting for the Monday Night game as Team Galactica still has 3 players yet to play while Ilong_rangers has 5 players. Ilong_rangers was trailing Team Galactica after the 1st half but it was a different story on the 2nd half as the rangers started to pile up points. This was Ilong_rangers biggest win of the season.

The game between Ginebra and Pang Asar lang was a pleasure to watch. The players for both teams were all playing on Sunday (including the Sunday Night Game) and there were several lead changes. Ginebra started leading but Pang Asar lang was able to overtake Ginebra during the Sunday afternoon game. Ginebra was able to wrestle back the lead with the help of its Star running back, Chris Johnson. Johnson was able to get 2 rushing touchdown to grab the lead for good. Pang Asar had a chance on the Sunday Night game with DeSean Jackson playing but he didn't provide enough points to bail out Pang Asar lang.

Week 4: NFL Fantasy Results and Standings

Week 4 was a very interesting week where the underdog teams almost won their games. The results are as follows:

Hoof Hearted squeezed one more win to protect its winning record. Hoof got a scare of his life, the team was afraid of getting its 1st loss (just like a boxer that we all know). The team was only leading the Ilong_rangers team by only 30 points after all the Sunday games. Ilong_rangers had a opportunity to win the game with Tom Brady and Wes Welker playing on the Monday Night Football game. Both players can rack up fantasy points and they showed it on the 1st half of the game where Brady was targeting Welker on almost every drive. Hoof still has Brandon Marshall playing but he didn't have any catches on the 1st half so he has no point contribution. The 1st half ended with Miami leading the Patriots 7-6 but the game ended with the Patriots winning the game 41-14. Don't let the score fool you, the points didn't come from Brady or Welker and Hoof Hearted got the win.

Team Galactica got its 1st win of the season over Ginebra by 21 points. Ginebra was able to acquire Michael Vick from the waiver wire and was hoping another monster game from him. Unfortunately, Vick got injured on the 1st half and only provided 3 fantasy points. Galactica was up by almost 40 points and was sitting pretty after all the Sunday games. Galactica and Ginebra had a player each on the Monday Night Football game, Galactica has Gostkowski (Patriots kicker) and Ginebra has the Patriots defense. The Patriots defense fueled the 'fantasy points' fire on the 2nd half for Ginebra with 4 interceptions and 3 touchdowns. Ginebra started to trim down Galactica's lead but Galactica has Gostkowski who was able to fight off Ginebra's fire. Gostkowski gave Galactica 11 points while the Patriots defense gave Ginebra 29 points. 

A 2nd week of heart breaker occurred on the Pang Asar lang and A-team's game. Pang Asar was leading A-team by only 5 points before the Monday Night's game. Pang Asar lang's players all played on Sunday but A-team still has Randy Moss and Brian Hartline for the MNF game. Moss is one of Tom Brady's favorite targets specially on long receptions and red zone drives. The Patriots had one last drive before the end of the 1st half and was moving the chains. With 14 seconds left and on Miami's 12, Tom Brady faked a spike and threw to Moss at the touchdown zone. Moss touched the ball but wasn't able to pull it in resulting an incompletion. Miami was able to prevent Moss from getting any catches on the 2nd half. Moss didn't add any fantasy point and Hartline only contributed 2 points to A-team thus Pang Asar lang escaping with a 3 point win.

Week 3: NFL Fantasy Results and Standings

Week 3 ended with surprising results:

The Hoof Hearted team upset the #1 team Pang Asar lang with an impressive 31 point win. Hoof Hearted received 30+ points from its franchise quarterback (Peyton Manning) and franchise running back (Adrian Peterson). Newly acquired receiver Austin Collie also gave Hoof Hearted a boost with 29 points. Pang Asar lang's dynamic duo of Drew Brees (28) and DeSean Jackson (22) helped the team to keep up with Hoof Hearted but Pang Asar didn't get much contributions from it's reliable players (Larry Fitzgerald, Arian Foster, Miles Austin and Hakeem Nicks). A thing to note though, Hoof Hearted's bench had 110 total points and this almost beat Pang Asar lang's total of 112. Hoof Hearted stands on top with a 3-0 win loss record. It looks like we have a new team to beat.

TeamGalactica suffered a heart breaking lost against the A-team. Galactica was looking for its 1st win of the season but the team is now in the cellar with 3 losses. Galactica was down by 4 points with about 4 minutes remaining in the Packers-Bears Monday night game. Galactica's QB, Aaron Rodgers, is moving the ball to break the tie (17-17) and win the game. With 3:15 left, A-team's lead is down to 3 points. Galactica's QB had a completed pass to one of it's receivers and gained 12 yards, this brought down A-team's lead to 2 points but the wide receiver fumbled and the Bears team recovered the ball. A-team never looked back and may have thanked the heavens for the change of possession.

The game between the Ginebra team and the Ilong_rangers was also a close one with Ilong_rangers getting its 1st win of the season. Ilong_rangers started Week 3 with a no win and 2 loss record and beat Ginebra by about 15 points. Ginebra's newly acquired receiver Mike Wallace was a gem, it gave Ginebra 21 points. Chris Johnson was his usual self with 24 points for Ginebra. Ilong_rangers got a monster game from Anquan Boldin with 31 points and received 28 points from it's QB Tom Brady.
